The "Oliver Clothing Factory" was built in the 1930's and was the manufacturer of the high-end "Oliver" Clothes label, best known for its men's suits and sportcoat collection. The factory closed in 1985 leaving machinery and several hundred coats behind.

Established 1888, Rosewood Center is a State residential Center that supports adults with mental retardation from the central Maryland region. It was removed from service in 2006 and is slowly being dismantled. Once again on-sight security was present which is always a buzz kill, but we were able to visit a few buildings without getting noticed. Another trip will be made again in the future.
Having a respirator was a necessity.

In 1850 this center began as the House of Refuge in Baltimore City. It was an early effort to separate children from adult criminals in jails. This location has only been abandoned since 2005.

Mark,Tom B. Tom and myself made quick trip to Buffalo to explore the Sattler Theater and Buffalo Central Terminal. The terminal was mind blowing. The best part of the terminal(tower) has been renovated and open only to the public by tours. Below are some photos from that weekend. Feel free to click on the Flickr link to the right to find more photos from that weekend.

For some reason I decided to go back to the Paper Mill to explore some buildings that we left untouched when we went 8 months ago. Once I got inside, I almost realized why we left it untouched. There wasn't much in there but a couple of makeshift beds made out of ceiling tiles and broken glass. It might have something to due with the new owners keeping it on lockdown, checking unlocked doors and sealing up any possible entryways.

This site has been part of the York's industrial scene since 1798. It closed all of its operations in 2000. In 2002, the site was a possible location for the new minor league baseball team, however that fell through and now York College agrees to buy the property as space for expected expansion in the coming decades. No set plans are known. The going price is be tween $5 million and $6 million.

I have always wanted to explore the old prison, but never had an opportunity to get inside. There have been countless attempts made by myself and others to get inside both legally and illegally. One day a passage way opened up which allowed me and some others a chance to snap some shots. The entry into the prison was boarded up 1 day after I was there.

One thing I will never understand is how some establishments remain abandoned. We visited Kinsey Distillery aka Linfield aka Publicker. This is a HUGE abandoned industrial park sitting on several acres of land. The buildings are well structured and in fairly good shape. Most of the buildings were boarded up with new chains and locks, however there were some we were able to slither into. One of the buildings probably had a few hundred cases of old whiskey bottles(empty) and a few hundred cases of caps for the bottles. We also found several labels for "Skol Vodka" laying all around the premises.

Pennhurst is no hidden secret to any photographer who enjoys tresspassing and exploration. Hidden deep in the woods and what seemed like what took hours to hike there, we finally came upon the massive abandoned structures that once housed thousands of patients. The underground tunnels made it very easy to explore several buildings without even stepping outside of any of them.

A few weeks ago I was on my way back from State College and I decided to try to get lost. So, I got off at a few exits and snapped a few shots. When I was there I had no idea what this building was. I read a tag that was on the barb wire fence that read "Amity Hall Inn". When I got home I did some research and found all this out. I read an article that stated, "This hotel has been standing since the 1800’s. There where a few horrifying events that took place here. 2 children where killed in the attic area where the blood stain can still be seen. An unexplained explosion killed many that haunt the place. A ghost of a woman that was beaten to death by her husband stands at the top of the second floor stairs, and is reported to not like men" . It has only been abandoned since the mid 1980's i think. If wasn't so apparent that I was not allowed in there, I might have tried to hop the fence and venture inside, but I have been arrested enough in my life to know better.
